Parent Support Group & Autism Walk

We loved getting to experience the Autism Walk of Henderson, KY. Experiencing Autism Together is an amazing organization that provides support and community resources with families of children with Autism.

This walk was a bit chilly but a lot of fun! Malyssa and I got to bring our girls and they enjoyed running and playing.

After the Autism Walk, we were asked to come speak to the Parent Support group. We were able to discuss Sensory Integration, the different senses and how children with Autism can struggle to regulate all that is going on in their environment. At this parent meeting, we learned about the need for social skill groups in the tri-state area....so heads up a social skill group coming your way!

We have enjoyed meeting families in our community and hope to see many of them soon!

Check out our handouts for more information on Sensory Integration!
